We’d like to think that we are quite an environmentally conscious company. Vauxhall have been working in the background in the last year to do their bit to help the environment. They now have a scheme where if you purchase one of Vauxhalls low emission vehicles they will take your old car, scrap it and then give you £1000 towards your new low emission vehicle.

How it works - £1000 Scrap Allowance

Purchase one of the eligible models.
Speak to us about what other offers this model is eligible for.
Receive £1000 if you agree to scrap your vehicle.
Check that your vehicle is eligible for the Scrap Allowance offer:
A passenger vehicle with a maximum of 9 seats or commercial vehicle with a maximum weight of 3.5 Tonnes.
All major components such as engine, chassis, bodywork, catalytic converter, wheels and electronic control unit (ECU) are present in the vehicle.
There is no waste in the vehicle.
Must be legal to be driven on the highway.
Supply your vehicle registration document.
Vauxhall will then dispose of the vehicle in an environmentally friendly manner.

Eligibility

Offer is available for orders placed between 1 April 2008 and 30 June 2008 inclusive, subject to availability.

Finance by GMAC UK plc 19 Chapel Street, Luton LU1 2SE. Offers subject to status, applicants must be 18 or over.

£1000 Scrap Allowance To qualify for this offer, a customer must purchase one of the eligible models, trade in a vehicle and agree to scrap the vehicle.The trade in vehicle must have been registered in the name of the customer prior to 20.11.07. Vehicle must be able to be driven on the highway. The customer must supply a vehicle registration document (V5C) to the retailer for the trade in vehicle. Vauxhall will ensure the vehicle is scrapped under the end of life vehicle directive (2000/53/EG) and a Certificate of Destruction will be held by the retailer. If the customer agrees to scrap the vehicle a total of £1000 will be paid for the vehicle, irrespective of its current market value.
