Vauxhall and Motability
A founder member of the Motability Scheme in 1977, Vauxhall has been fully involved with the Charity ever since, becoming one of its largest suppliers of affordable mobility to the UK's disabled drivers and their families.
With the extensive range of Vauxhall cars - from MPVs to hatchbacks, saloons to estates - there really is something for everyone, and with a vast choice of trim levels and options to suit your individual needs, and budget.

It's easy with Motability! You choose the car, we do the rest.
If you receive the Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance or the War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement, getting a new car is easier and more affordable than ever. Through Motability, you simply turn part or all of that allowance into the car of your choice.
Are you eligible for a Motability car?
To lease a car from Motability, you must be receiving either:
- Higher Rate Mobility Component (HRMC) of the Disability Living Allowance (DLA) - currently £51.40 per week - or,
- War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement (WPMS)
If you choose to lease a car through Motability's Contract Hire scheme you must have at least 12 months' award length remaining. For customers choosing to buy a car with a Hire Purchase agreement, you will need to be receiving the allowance for the full length of your agreement.
Do you need to have a driving licence?
If you opt for our lease agreement you do not need to drive. You can nominate up to two drivers who may be friends or relatives, and parents or careers can apply on behalf of a child aged three years and upwards.
However, proposed drivers must not have any serious driving convictions, disqualifications, or endorsements within the last five years. There are also some restrictions on drivers under 25 and those with provisional licenses.
Checking your eligibility
If you would like assistance checking whether you are eligible for either the Disability Living Allowance or the War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement, you should contact Peter or Kristina on 0800 331 7423 for more information.

Did you know by choosing the diesel model of the car you are considering, you could potentially save money over the course of your lease?
Suitability
Cars vary considerably in measurements. Seat height, door opening angle and storage space for wheelchairs and equipment can all make the difference between a car that is suitable and a car that is neither enjoyable nor comfortable to drive. At Motorbodies we have a huge range of cars of suitable that can be fully adapted to meet your needs.
Fuel Consumption
Fuel costs can add a great deal to your cost of motoring and cars vary significantly in how many miles per gallon (mpg) they achieve. Cars with a higher mpg cost less to run and are often more environmentally friendly.
Our online Car Search advise on the mpg figure for every car available through our Motability scheme.
Greener Choices
We currently have over 60 lower emission models (those with an emission level of 120g/km or less) for you to choose from.
Adaptations
Many of the most popular adaptations can be added to your car at the start of your lease at no additional cost. Simple adaptations can assist with speed and steering; signaling and safety; stowage systems; and seating and access.
